Minister: Russia may support demand for production of GAZ Group
MOSCOW, Oct 18 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is discussing supporting demand for production of sanction-hit carmaker GAZ Group, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Thursday.
On April 6, the U.S. imposed sanctions against 38 Russian tycoons, officials and companies, including tycoons Viktor Vekselberg and Oleg Deripaska and companies En+ Group, GAZ Group, Basic Element, and UC RUSAL.
“Speaking of GAZ, we are talking about supporting demand,” he said, adding that the government undertakes various measures to support sanction-hit companies.
He also said that the government will also implement a plan to support RUSAL.
“Yes, we will have a separate plan for RUSAL. We will not make it public,” he said.
